New Construction Landscaping Blog

At HIS Landscape, Hardscape, & Outdoor Living, we understand that new construction is more than just building a structure; it's about creating an environment where life flourishes. In North Alabama, where the beauty of nature is abundant, our new construction landscaping services are designed to turn any newly built property into a masterpiece of outdoor living. Here's how we can help you make your new home or development truly exceptional from the start.

The Importance of New Construction Landscaping

First Impressions: Landscaping sets the tone for your property, offering curb appeal that can make your home or development stand out.

Integration: We ensure that the landscape design complements the architecture, creating a unified aesthetic that enhances the overall value and appeal.

Sustainability: Starting with landscaping in mind allows for better planning of sustainable features like efficient irrigation, native plant use, and energy-saving layouts.

Functionality: We design spaces that are not only beautiful but also practical for outdoor living, entertaining, and everyday use.

Our Approach to New Construction Landscaping

Early Involvement:

• Collaboration: We work closely with builders, architects, and developers from the planning phase to ensure landscaping is an integral part of the construction process.
• Site Planning: Before any foundation is laid, we assess the site for optimal landscape integration, considering soil, sun exposure, and natural drainage.

Comprehensive Design Services:

• Master Plan Creation: From conceptual sketches to detailed landscape plans, we design every element, from plant selections to hardscape features.
• 3D Visualizations: We provide visualizations to help you see and refine your landscape before implementation begins.

Installation Excellence:

• Soil Preparation: We start with the ground, ensuring soil quality is optimal for plant health and stability.
• Planting: Choosing plants that thrive in North Alabama's climate, we focus on creating a landscape that will mature beautifully over time.
• Hardscaping: We construct patios, walkways, retaining walls, and more, blending functionality with aesthetic appeal.

Special Features:

• Irrigation Systems: Installed during construction for seamless integration and efficiency.
• Lighting: Enhancing both safety and ambiance, we plan for lighting that complements the landscape day and night.
• Water Features: Where appropriate, adding elements like ponds or fountains that become focal points of tranquility.

Post-Construction Care:

• Maintenance Plans: We offer guidance and services to ensure your new landscape flourishes as intended, from initial plant care to seasonal adjustments.
